Here is a candid interview that we recently carried out with him.

1. What is the last book you read?
I’m currently reading Ruskin Bond’s A Town Called Dehra and exploring some of
the places from his childhood that still exist in Dehradun.

2. A guilty pleasure?
Pop-up books and beautifully illustrated children’s books. (I try to convince myself
that they’re a necessary expense).

3. Where do you write? Do you have a favourite spot?
My best ideas come in the midst of nature, but the actual writing happens at home
on my laptop. I have a tiny portable desk that I shift around the house depending on
which room has the best view (or Wi-Fi).

4. What is a book that has stayed with you?
The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

5. What apart from what you do today do you wish you could do or pursue as a career?
A forester.

6. Your greatest fear?
Losing the wonderful things that nature has gifted us.

7. A trait you admire in yourself?
Empathy and patience.

8. Who would be the guests at your perfect dinner party?
My closest friends, who are now scattered across the globe.

9. A book you’d recommend to someone to get them out of a reading slump?
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams.
