Ayesha Salman is a writer and poet. Her poems have been published in several literary journals in the UK. She is also a published author of non-fiction essays and thought pieces on violence against women and the fight for justice for religious minorities in South Asia. She is currently working on two more works of fiction and remains committed to experimental fiction and the complex relationship between private and public domains in terms of meaning and comprehension. This is her first novel. Ayesha Salman worked as a writer and editor in the development sector in Pakistan for several years, but moved to the UK eleven years ago where she works for ActionAid International on women's rights issues and climate justice.
