  JP Losty (1945–2021) was Curator-in-charge of the Extensive Indian Visual Collections in the British Library in London. He worked in the Print, Drawings and Photographs section of the British Library; first as Curator and retiring as Head of the section in 2005. Between 2010 and 2021, he was regularly invited to contribute to a range of exhibition catalogues including The Indian Portrait, Princes and Painters in Mughal Delhi, and Masters of Indian Painting.Jerry published many books and papers on various aspects of the paintings of India from the 12th to the 19th centuries. His major books include The Art of the Book in India(1982), Calcutta City of Palaces(1990), The Ramayana(2008), Sita Ram’s Painted Views of India: Lord Hastings’s Journey from Calcutta to the Punjab, 1814-15(2015), and Court and Courtship: Indian Miniatures in the Tapi Collection(2020). In acknowledgement of his lifetime work on Indian art, Jerry was awarded the Colonel James Tod award in Udaipur in March 2016.

  Salman Khurshid

  Salman Khurshid is an Indian politician belonging to the Indian National Congress, a lawyer, and a writer. He is presently the Cabinet Minister of the Ministry of Law and Justice and Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India. He has been deeply involved in writing and acting in plays since his student days in Delhi and Oxford. He is the author of the play Sons of Babur, which has been staged with Tom Alter in the lead role, at the Red Fort in Delhi.

  Ratish Nanda

  Ratish Nanda, Conservation Architect, is the Projects Director for the Aga Khan Trust for Culture in India for whom he was earlier responsible for the Humayun's Tomb Garden Conservation and Baghe Babur Restoration, Kabul, Afghanistan. For INTACH, he prepared the inventory of historic buildings for Delhi, published in two volumes as Delhi, the Built Heritage.

  Malvika Singh

  Daughter of the late Romesh Thapar, Malvika Singh is the publisher of Seminar, a prestigious monthly magazine of ideas, founded in 1959. She has authored several books: Bhutan: Through the lens of the King New Delhi: Making of a Capital Delhi: India in One City and Snowdon's India. She has edited Delhi: The First City Chennai: A City of Change Hyderabad: A City of Hope Kolkata: A Soul City Lucknow: A City Between Cultures Mumbai: A City of Dreams and Freeing the Spirit: Iconic Women of India. She has also worked extensively in theatre and film and was decorated as a Dame in the civil merit honours list of the King of Spain in 2009.
